Shot on the banks of the river Narmada passing through Chanod Village in Gujarat, the photographer attempts to capture the everyday life of locals and their interactions with water. Through the images, one can sense a gradual yet dominant presence of the civilisation that is taking over the banks. Subtle nuances of the male gaze along with an entitlement of occupying the social space can be seen through the series of images.
